Our MLB Player Prop Picks Today – 29th May 2026
Here are some MLB player props we like tonight:
Jack Flaherty: Strikeouts (Under 6.5, +118, FanDuel) This is not a comfortable play, but sometimes that’s where the money is. Jack Flaherty is still racking up strikeouts vs. right-handed hitters (30.7%), while the Angels are a righty-heavy lineup with one of the highest K-rates in the sport (26.9%) against righties. Flaherty has otherwise been quite erratic, however, with a barrel rate pushing 10% and a double-digit walk rate. By betting the under on 6.5 Ks at +118, you’re essentially hoping Flaherty gets knocked around early enough to come out of the game before he hits the mark. Even in a high-strikeout matchup, I’ll roll the dice on the under.
Yordan Alvarez: Home Runs (Over 0.5, +270, DraftKings) Yordan Alvarez has been baseball’s best hitter this season, and he’s already smacked 5 home runs across the first 3 games of the Astros’ current series against the Rangers. Nathan Eovaldi is the ace of the Texas staff, but he has had issues with left-handed power (.203 ISO, 10.1% barrels) this season. For whatever it’s worth, Alvarez is also hitting .533 with a couple of home runs across 29 career plate appearances against Eovaldi. Batter-vs.-pitcher stats tend to be noisy because of small samples, but it’s hard not to like Yordan’s home-run prop again tonight.
Types of MLB Props to Bet On
MLB prop betting lets you zoom in on single players and specific stats. You can attack matchups inning by inning or plate appearance by plate appearance.
- Player hit props focus on whether a batter records a hit or multiple hits.
- Total bases props combine singles, doubles, triples, and home runs into one number.
- Home run props are popular for power hitters in good weather spots.
- RBI props track whether a player drives in at least one run.
- Pitcher strikeout props are among the most popular markets each day. You can also find outs recorded, earned runs allowed, and walks issued props.
- Team props include team totals, first five innings totals, and yes-or-no on scoring in the first inning. Some books also offer stolen base and hit-by-pitch props for deeper angles.
DailyPropBets.com MLB Prop Betting Tips
Target pitcher strikeout props based on opponent strikeout rate, not just season K numbers. A mid-tier arm facing the Seattle Mariners can be more attractive than an ace facing a contact-heavy lineup.
- Break down splits by handedness before betting hitter props. A righty who crushes left-handed pitching can be a strong play when facing a soft-tossing southpaw with a high WHIP.
- Use ballpark factors to guide total bases and home run props. Parks like Coors Field boost extra-base hits, while larger parks can kill warning track power.
- Watch the lineup position closely. A hitter batting second or third gets more plate appearances than someone hitting seventh, which increases chances to clear hits and total bases lines.
- Consider first five innings props when bullpens are shaky. If both starters are solid but relievers struggle, a first five under or pitcher outs over can isolate the best part of the matchup.
- Check the weather before locking in overs. Wind blowing out and warm temperatures can boost fly balls, while heavy air and crosswinds can hold balls in the park.
- Fade public home run hype after a multi-homer game. Books shade lines quickly, and value often shifts to total bases or hits instead of chasing another bomb.

2026 Cy Young Odds: Best Bets for AL and NL Right Now
The 2026 AL Cy Young race looked like a two-horse race on Opening Day. Then Garrett Crochet blew up and hit the IL with shoulder inflammation. Then Tarik Skubal, the two-time defending AL winner and the prohibitive favorite, had loose bodies removed from his throwing elbow and disappeared for months. The race cracked wide open…
What is an Over/Under Rounds Bet?
Most bettors are comfortable picking who wins. An over/under rounds bet asks you something more specific: how long will the contest last? It is one of the most popular wager types in combat sports and shows up across boxing, MMA, and kickboxing on every major slate. The mechanics are simple enough, but finding consistent value…

Everyone with a sports betting account has seen the ads. AI-powered picks. Machine learning edges. Algorithms that process thousands of data points in seconds to find value the market missed. Some of this is real. Some of it is the same hot-take tipster model dressed up in a neural network costume. In 2026, AI tools…
